Downer secures NZ$550 million Chorus contract

Downer EDI has secured a new seven-year Field Services Agreement (FSA) with Chorus, valued at over NZ$550 million ($500m).

The contract, which replaces and expands the scope of Downer's current FSA with Chorus, will commence on April 1, 2025.

Under the agreement, Downer will provide services in the South Island and lower and central North Island.

This includes the construction and augmentation of the fibre network, maintenance and restoration of copper and fibre networks, as well as customer connections and maintenance in various premises.

Downer has been a partner of Chorus for over 20 years.
