Empire Technology has lodged an appeal with the High Court regarding a dispute with Vital.
The dispute relates to Empire's obligation to reimburse Vital for takeover expenses.
On Dec 3, 2024, Vital announced that Empire had initiated proceedings in the High Court over a takeover proposal that Empire had announced but did not proceed with.
On March 14, 2025, the Takeovers Panel determined that Vital is entitled to be reimbursed for the full invoiced amount of $247,036.
The panel issued an order for Empire to pay that amount to Vital.
Empire has now indicated its intention to file an amended statement of claim in the proceedings and the Takeovers Panel decision.
