Infratil, alongside The Future Fund, has exercised its pre-emption rights to acquire a 12.04% stake in CDC Data Centres from Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation.

Infratil will acquire approximately 1.58% of CDC's ordinary shares for A$216 million (NZ$239.5), while Future Fund will acquire the remaining 10.46% of the stake.

After the completion of the deal, Infratil will own 49.75% of CDC, Future Fund will own 34.55%, and CSC will own 12.04%.

CDC's management, led by CEO Greg Boorer, will retain a 3.66% shareholding.

The total equity value of the transaction is A$13.7 billion.

Infratil's acquisition will be funded through existing debt capacity and cash reserves, and is expected to be completed in the second half of 2025, pending customary closing conditions.
