Meridian Energy monthly operating report for February 2023

Meridian Energy Limited's monthly operating report for February 2023 showed national hydro storage decreased from 111% to 105% of historical average in the month to 13 March.

Storage decreased to 94% in the South Island and increased to 194% in the North Island.

North Island rainfall from Cyclone Gabrielle and above average temperatures were recorded in most parts of the country.

National electricity demand was 0.1% lower than the same month last year, while Meridian's retail sales volumes were 9.7% higher than February 2022.
