Michael Hill International has announced the passing of its chief executive officer and managing director, Daniel Bracken.
The company said Bracken died as a result of an adverse reaction to medical treatment for an underlying condition.
Michael Hill expressed its condolences to Bracken's family and friends and highlighted his leadership and impact on the company.
Bracken had been with the company for seven years.
Further details on interim leadership arrangements will be provided by the board in due course.
Michael Hill operates 300 stores globally, with its headquarters in Brisbane, Australia.
