Millennium & Copthorne returns to Christchurch with Mayfair Hotel purchase

Millennium & Copthorne Hotels New Zealand has announced its return to Christchurch with the purchase of the Mayfair Hotel.

The acquisition, which is set to settle before the end of November, will be financed using the company's existing cash resources and bank facilities.

The Mayfair Hotel, located in Victoria Street, opened in 2022 and features 67 guest rooms and suites, as well as a cocktail bar and conference/meeting facilities.

It has already received recognition as the eighth-ranked hotel in New Zealand by TripAdvisor and won the award for Best Café in New Zealand at the 2024 Hospitality New Zealand's Awards for Excellence.

Millennium & Copthorne Hotels New Zealand is the only NZX-listed hotel owner-operator in the country, with 18 owned, leased, and franchised hotels.
