Air New Zealand has announced the appointment of Neal Barclay as a non-executive director, effective from May 1, 2025.
Barclay, the former chief executive of Meridian Energy, brings extensive commercial, sustainability, and leadership experience to the board.
He held various senior leadership roles at Meridian, including chief financial officer, general manager of wholesale and generation, and general manager of retail.
Barclay also spent 13 years at Telecom NZ in senior finance leadership positions.
He is currently a non-executive director of Chorus.
Air NZ chair Dame Therese Walsh said Barclay's commercial and infrastructure expertise would be valuable to the board.
