New Zealand King Salmon has reported a net loss of $6.3 million for the eight-month period ended September 30, 2025.

This compares to a profit of $13.4m for the year ended Jan 31, 2025.

The company's pro-forma ebitda also decreased to $7.1m, down from $29.7m in the previous year.

Sales volumes were halved, with 3,260 metric tonnes sold in the eight-month period, compared to 6,582t in the 12 months to January 2025.

The company attributed the results to challenges with fish performance and said it is now focused on strengthening its core business and improving fish health.

For the 2026 financial year, it expects pro-forma ebit to range from a $3m loss to a $3m profit, and pro-forma ebitda to be between $9m and $15m.
