Chief executive of NZ Windfarms, Warren Koia, has resigned from his position.

Koia, who joined the company in May 2019, will officially step down on June 15 2024.

In a statement, NZ Windfarms chair, Craig Stobo, acknowledged Koia's achievements and the positive impact he had on the company.

Stobo credited Koia for his role in the successful fast track consent of Te Rere Hau wind farm, the partnership arrangement with Meridian Energy, and the completion of a placement and underwritten pro-rata renounceable rights issue.

Koia's financial management and commitment to budgetary discipline were also highlighted as essential factors in driving profitability and upgrading the company's FY2024 EBITDAF guidance range.
