NZX, Fonterra and EEX have announced a partnership which will see each taking ownership stakes in Global Dairy Trade (GDT), enhancing the standing of GDT as an independent, neutral, and transparent price discovery platform, and creating future growth opportunities.
The partnership is expected to be completed mid-2022 and is anticipated to lead to greater volumes being traded on GDT and the growth of financial tools to help manage dairy price volatility for industry participants.
