Channel Infrastructure (CHI) has successfully commenced operations of New Zealand’s largest fuel import terminal at Marsden Point.
The quarterly conversion project update for the three months ended 31 March 2022 (Q1 FY22) shows that the refinery shutdown was completed safely and to plan, and conversion costs are tracking to plan.
The transition of the refinery workforce is being supported through an intensive programme of transition support.
CEO Naomi James said the conversion project and private storage projects remain on-plan and to budget.
