Rakon director, Sinead Horgan, will step down from her position on August 27.

Horgan's resignation is due to her workload commitments, which include multiple board and trustee appointments, as well as her role as director of a Christchurch-based consultancy.

She has served as the chair of Rakon's audit and risk committee since January 25, 2022, and the chair of the independent committee to assess the non-binding indicative proposal to acquire the company, received on December 8, 2023.

After Horgan's departure, the Rakon board will consist of five directors, three of whom will be independent.

The company will now begin the search for a new director.
