Ryman Healthcare has recommended the appointment of PwC as its external auditor, replacing Deloitte.
The recommendation is in accordance with Ryman's External Auditor Independence Policy, which requires the tendering and assessment of the external auditor at least every 10 years.
Ryman's current auditor, Deloitte, has been serving the company for 25 years since its listing on the NZX in 1999.
The board has agreed with the recommendation and shareholder approval will be sought at the annual meeting on August 1 2024.
Ryman, founded in 1984, owns and operates 48 retirement villages in New Zealand and Australia, with 14,600 residents and 7,700 staff.
