Scales Corporation has reported a 35% decline in full-year net profit after tax to $24.7 million for the 12 months to December 31 2023.
This is compared to $38.2m in the previous year.
The agribusiness group's underlying net profit after tax of $19m was at the top end of market guidance, but still 31% lower than the prior year.
Scales cited lower volumes and the impact of cyclone Gabrielle as key factors affecting the horticulture and logistics divisions.
However, the global proteins division performed strongly.
The company's revenue also decreased by 9% to $565.4m.
Scales said it expected a more normal year of trading in 2024 and re-confirmed its guidance for the current financial year.
