Ryman Healthcare has announced the appointment of Scott Pritchard as an independent director, effective from November 1, 2024.
Pritchard, who is currently the chief executive of Precinct Properties, brings with him relevant experience in people and cultural leadership, as well as commercial expertise in large-scale property development and management.
Ryman's executive chairman, Dean Hamilton, said Pritchard's experience would be invaluable as the company transitions to a stronger developer mindset and looks to outsource design and construction elements.
Pritchard is set to retire as chair of the Property Council of New Zealand on October 31.
Current director Claire Higgins will retire on December 31, 2024.
Ryman owns and operates 49 retirement villages in New Zealand and Australia, with 14,600 residents and 7,700 staff.
