Scott Technology's chief executive, John Kippenberger, will be stepping down from his role at the end of May 2024.

Kippenberger, who joined the automation and robotics company in November 2019, has been credited with leading Scott Technology through a significant strategic and operational transformation.

The announcement of his departure comes as the company's chair, Stuart McLauchlan, highlighted Kippenberger's contributions in bringing "a clear purpose and sense of direction" to the business.

A formal search process for a new CEO is now underway, but in the meantime, Aaron Vanwalleghem, the president of Europe and North America, has been appointed as the interim CEO.

Vanwalleghem's leadership has reportedly contributed to the strong growth of these regions, which account for 57% of Scott Technology's total group revenue.
