Scott Technology has announced a significant milestone, securing its largest-ever appliance automation contract in China.
The contract, valued at CN¥85 million (approximately NZ$20m), is with a prominent global Chinese whiteware manufacturer and involves the automation of top and front loader production lines.
This partnership builds on Scott's long-standing relationship with the customer, which dates back to 2000.
Scott Technology's appliance business unit, based in China and supported by Christchurch, specialises in designing and manufacturing automation systems for leading global appliance manufacturers.
The company's facility in Qingdao, opened in 2023, has enhanced its capacity to deliver advanced automation solutions in China and beyond.
