SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited has announced that its Chief Executive Officer, Michael Ahearne, will be stepping down from his role at the end of March 2024.
Ahearne joined the company in December 2017 as Group Chief Operating Officer and was appointed CEO in November 2020.
The company's Chair, Julian Cook, praised Ahearne's leadership during challenging times, including dealing with a major fire, navigating the COVID-19 pandemic, and addressing regulatory issues.
SkyCity has begun the process of recruiting a new CEO, considering both internal and external candidates.
