Summerset Group has reported an 11% increase in total sales for the third quarter of 2024, compared to the same period last year.

The company had 289 sales, including 129 new sales and 160 resales.

Resales were up 26% year-on-year.

Summerset chief executive, Scott Scoullar, attributed the company's ability to sell homes in challenging economic conditions to its 15 villages being in different places around New Zealand.

He said 55% of sales in the quarter came from areas outside of Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

The first stage of Summerset's St Johns village in Auckland was also delivered on time, welcoming its first residents in October.
