Synlait shares and bonds trading halted for shareholder meeting

Trading in Synlait Milk's ordinary shares and SML010 bonds will be halted from 1:30pm on Thursday, July 11 2024.

The halt will remain in place until 15 minutes after the release of the outcome of a special shareholders' meeting, including the results of polls conducted.

The meeting, scheduled for July 11, is for shareholders to vote on a resolution approving a proposed shareholder loan for Synlait.

The decision to impose the trading halt was made by NZ RegCo, which cited the need to ensure fair, orderly, and transparent markets.

NZ RegCo clarified that the halt does not indicate a view on Synlait's compliance with NZX Listing Rules, nor does it imply any knowledge or opinion on the likely outcome of the meeting.
