Thornton Williams named Fletcher Building's concrete chief

Thornton Williams has been appointed as the permanent chief executive of Fletcher Building's concrete division, effective immediately.

The announcement was made by the company on Thursday. 

Williams, who joined Fletcher Building in 2011, has previously worked in various group functions before taking on the role of concrete chief financial officer last year.

He had been serving as the acting chief executive of the concrete division since March 2024.

The appointment comes as Andrew Reding prepares to take on the role of group chief executive and managing director on September 30.

Fletcher Building expressed confidence in Williams' ability to lead the division, citing his deep understanding of the business and the competitive landscape.
