TruScreen has announced the appointment of PT Mawar Mitra Medika as the distributor of its AI-enabled cervical cancer screening system in Indonesia.
Indonesia, with a population of over 283 million, is the world's most populous Islamic nation and has an estimated screening population of more than 95 million women.
The country faces a significant cervical cancer burden, with approximately 37,000 women diagnosed and a 57% mortality rate each year.
TruScreen's technology, which is non-invasive and culturally sensitive, provides real-time results without the need for expensive laboratory infrastructure, making it suitable for Indonesia's geographically distributed population.
The appointment follows the registration of TruScreen by the Indonesian regulator in October 2024.
