SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited has announced that the independent review into the suitability of SkyCity Adelaide Pty Limited and SkyCity has been placed on hold pending the resolution of civil penalty proceedings filed in the Federal Court of Australia.
The South Australian Liquor and Gambling Commissioner has issued a direction notice to SkyCity Adelaide requiring the appointment of an independent expert to review and monitor their anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing and host responsibility enhancement programmes.
SkyCity and SkyCity Adelaide will continue to cooperate with Consumer and Business Services.
