Vector Group (NZX: VCT) today reported a steady result for the first half of the 2022 financial year, with Group net profit after tax of $115.5 million, up 13.1% compared to the prior year.

Adjusted EBITDA of $263.6 million was down 3.7%, driven by the prior year release of loss rental rebates and lower gas volumes.

Total capital expenditure in the period was $266.4 million, an increase of 2.2% on the prior period.

The Board has determined that shareholders will receive an interim dividend of 8.25 cents per share imputed at 10.5%.

Vector continues to make progress with its Symphony strategy, including strategic collaborations with Amazon Web Services and X to build the New Energy Platform and reduce peak electricity demand.
