Allied Farmers Trading Halt - NZ Rural Land Co Settlements
As advised to the market yesterday by both Allied Farmers Limited (“Allied Farmers” NZX: ALF) and New Zealand Rural Land Company Limited (NZX: NZL), the transactions approved by its shareholders on 24 May 2021 are now unconditional and are due for settlement today.
Due to the volume of NZL transactions settling today and the contingencies relating to those settlements, NZL has requested that NZ RegCo place NZL in a trading halt from market open today until the outcome of all of today’s settlements is known and advised to market.
Given that confirmation of each NZL settlement will be announced to the market after it occurs (and during the period of NZL’s halt), Allied Farmers has also requested that NZ RegCo place ALF in a trading halt from market open today until the outcome of all of today’s NZFL settlements is known and advised to market.
Allied Farmers has made this request because it wishes to ensure that, if any of the settlements do not occur (and in particular the settlement of the two additional assets sold to other parties under their unconditional agreements), Allied Farmers’s has sufficient time to consider the impact of that outcome in order to update the market.
