Kiwi Property is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Aiken to its Board as a Non-Executive Director, commencing 1 June 2021.

Chris is an experienced director, with a track-record of success across a number of major property organisations. He is Chair of the Kāinga Ora Construction Programme Assurance Panel and was previously a director of both Metlifecare and Piritahi. Prior to commencing his governance career, Chris was Chief Executive of HLC, a subsidiary of Housing New Zealand, responsible for creating prominent urban communities such as Hobsonville Point.

Kiwi Property Chair, Mark Ford, says Chris’ expertise in large-scale development will be invaluable to the company as it continues advancing its mixed-use strategy.

“Chris is a director of the highest calibre and I’m looking forward to him adding significant value to the Kiwi Property Board. His experience leading major development projects in both the public and private sectors will be particularly relevant, as we move forward with our plans to create mixed-use communities at Sylvia Park, LynnMall, Drury and The Base.

In accordance with NZX Listing Rule 2.6.1, the Board has determined Chris is an independent director having had regard to the non-exhaustive factors described in the NZX Corporate Governance Code.
