Appointed February 2019. Previously deputy state services commissioner. Led work to restructure and simplify chief executive remuneration. Started as a frontline case manager at the then-Department of Social Welfare in 1980. Has held a range of senior roles in MSD. Between 2007 and 2010 was private secretary at Parliament. Also worked for the UK’s Department for Work and Pensions. Holds an Executive Master’s in Public Administration from Victoria University and has attended the Harvard Business School.
