  • The Government Superannuation Fund manages schemes for government employees, police, defence forces, parliamentarians, judges and Corrections staff.
  • Established in 1948 to help state sector employees save for their retirement, it was closed to new members from 1 July 1992, except for those eligible through employment with some Pacific Island governments.
  • Membership was closed to them in 1995.
