Oranga Tamariki supports children whose wellbeing is at risk.
Also works with young people who may have offended, or are likely to offend.
Services include funding organisations protecting and helping children, helping young people accept responsibility for their offending, and supporting them to not re-offend.
Provides residential and care services for children, and for young people who offend.
Assesses people who wish to adopt, and reports to the Family Court on adoption applications.
Helps people access information about past adoptions.
