                                - The Ministry of Health is in charge of New Zealand’s health and disability system, and has overall responsibility for its management and development.
- Advises on improving health outcomes, reducing inequalities and increasing participation.
- Monitors the performance of District Health Boards and other health-sector Crown entities.
