In policy roles at Te Puni Kōkiri and spent three years as private secretary to the former Minister of Māori Affairs, Pita Sharples.
In 2014, was negotiation and settlement manager at the Office for Māori Crown Relations/Te Arawhiti.
Originally a teacher, then moved to Te Papa Tongarewa in a range of roles using her education training.
