  • Previously chief executive of MetService and its international subsidiary, Metraweather.
  • Long experience in biotechnology and meteorology, as well as in commercial and scientific disciplines.
  • Director of biotechnology networks for Scottish Enterprise, the national economic development agency of Scotland. After emigrating in 2002, became director of Industry NZ’s biotechnology sector.
  • Has post-graduate degrees in biochemistry and biological sciences from Queen's University (Belfast) and Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh), as well as an MBA in Finance and Strategy from Glasgow University.
