Deputy chief executive, head of Te Ihuwaka (education evaluation centre)
Leads Te Ihuwaka, ERO’s Education Evaluation Centre, which draws on local and international research to build an evidence base that better supports decision makers.
Previously worked in education research and policy in NZ (including as associate deputy secretary at the Ministry of Education), in England (for the Department of Education) and Japan (as a Dawia Foundation Scholar).
Has wide experience in social policy and evidence, for example as the head of child poverty in the UK.
Chairs the Government’s Women’s Network and has a BA (Hons) in economics.
