Andrew Barnes sells Guardian Trust and Covenant to Hong Kong's Tricor

Andrew Barnes' Complectus has sold NZGT Holdings, which owns New Zealand Guardian Trust Company and Covenant Trustee Services, to Hong Kong-based Tricor Group for an undisclosed sum.The two trustee subsidiaries offer corporate supervision, effectively being first-line regulators, to a number of managed investment schemes, corporate debt issuers and retirement village operators with more than $250 million in funds under supervision.The sale is subject to regulatory approvals.The statement announcing the sale said it will be a positive move f...
