The breakaway group of mayors who oppose the government’s multi-billion plan to upgrade the nation’s three waters infrastructure have put forward an alternative plan in a last-ditch bid to hose down the reform.Communities 4 Local Democracy (C4LD) – which represents 32 of the nation’s 69 councils – wrote to members of parliament on Tuesday with their option to reform the waste, drinking and storm water infrastructure that they’d pitched to local government minister Nanaia Mahuta earlier this month.Manawatū may...
