The Ministry of Education has received 122 registrations of interest from businesses for its revamped school lunch programme, which will kick in next year. Associate Education Minister David Seymour this year announced funding cuts to the Ka Ora, Ka Ako programme, which delivers free lunches to 230,000 students in about 1,000 of the country's least advantaged schools. The programme would remain the same for primary school students, but an alternative model would be developed for students in Years 7 and up, saving $107 million a ye...
