Carbon prices bounced back on Monday in the wake of Thursday’s high court decision telling the government to reconsider emissions trading scheme settings.Secondary market prices for New Zealand Units (NZUs, a proxy for one tonne of carbon) closed near the $38 mark ahead of the Matariki long weekend holiday and before the release of the court judgment.At midday on Monday, Jarden’s CommTrade recorded the last fixed trade at $48.50.
