Electric car maker Polestar will launch in New Zealand later this year, after striking a deal with mega distributor Giltrap Group.Global CEO Thomas Ingenlath said the new government EV feebate was a factor in bringing the Volvo-spawned brand to New Zealand.Polestar is jointly owned by Volvo and China’s Geely, which also currently owns Volvo, but is looking to independently list it.It will be only the second pure electric brand in New Zealand and aims to be a “serious challenger” to Tesla, which has so far sold 910 cars here th...
