CentrePort has dismissed a "speculative" bid from Napier Port to take it over and close its port container terminal saying it will continue with its own multi-million dollar regeneration strategy.The rival port made the move saying the Wellington based port was being subsidised at a cost of millions of dollars to ratepayers and could never deliver a return on investment.Greater Wellington regional council (GWRC), which owns 77% of the port on behalf of Wellington, Hutt Valley, Porirua, Kāpiti and Wairarapa ratepayers, is not intereste...
