Contact Energy plans to offer a cloud-based electricity management system for offices as part of its efforts to help commercial customers decarbonise their operations. The company is bringing in a plug-in electricity monitoring and analysis system developed by Philadelphia-based Sapient Industries. It uses machine learning to flag potential power wastage, identify opportunities for savings and ways to shave peak-time use.
