Covid saliva test trialled at Auckland Airport gets US emergency authorisation

A covid-19 saliva test licensed to New Zealand’s Rako Science and tested at Auckland International Airport has been granted emergency use authorisation in the US by the US Federal Drug Administration.The University of Illinois developed the so-called Shield saliva test and, since July 2020, has been using it at their Urbana campus.
