Outset Ventures closed its $41.5 million deep-tech Fund II on Tuesday (May 27),  which included a $15m top-up from the Government-owned New Zealand Growth Capital Partners.The fund was launched to help startups working on fundamental scientific and engineering problems and attracted more than 150 investors from New Zealand and overseas. Outset Ventures occupies a dual role in the hard science and engineering startup sector.
