Employment confidence has reached its lowest level since December 2020, with pessimists outnumbering optimists.Westpac released the results of its Westpac McDermott Miller Employment Confidence Index for the September quarter on Wednesday.The survey – carried out between Sept 1-13 – asked 1,551 respondents five questions about the labour market, including whether they thought jobs were plentiful or hard to get.An index result of more than 100 indicates that optimists outnumber pessimists.The result for the September quarter was 98.3...
