The government is providing a lifeline for Hawke’s Bay Airport and will inject additional funding to help establish a business park near Kaikohe. The government will loan Hawke’s Bay Airport $4.5 million on commercial terms, and the Napier city and Hastings district councils will provide a further $4.5 million to ensure the region’s air transport can survive through the covid-19 pandemic.
