Job confidence rises but workers are still cautious

Confidence about the availability of jobs is now slightly higher than it was at the end of 2019 before the covid-19 pandemic hit, according to the latest Westpac McDermott Miller employment confidence survey.But while jobs are easier to find, workers are still cautious about their prospects, future earnings and job security.The index now stands at 103.9 points, up 4.4 from three months ago.
