Mainfreight revenue falls as world goes into lockdown

Mainfreight’s global revenue has fallen and local revenue almost halved as the effects of international covid–19 lockdowns begin to bite into its operations.Total sales revenue for the first full week of April trading declined 7 percent from the same week a year earlier as governments around the world restricted movement in entire countries to prevent the spread of the pandemic.The freight logistics company said New Zealand was the hardest hit region, with revenue falling 40 percent as it entered the level-4 alert.Managing director Don Braid sa...
