Methanex cuts production as gas supply tightens

Methanex has cut production amid weak regional methanol prices and reduced gas supplies from the Pohokura field. The firm, which operates two production units at Motunui and another at its Waitara Valley site, appears to have shut one of the Motunui units after running it at reduced load for much of June.
