Today (Tuesday) marks 202 days since the resignation of the governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, Adrian Orr.Some 26 days ago, his chair at the time of that resignation, Neil Quigley, also left his post, largely because of the way he handled Orr’s resignation.He also left shortly after the Bank of Canada assistant governor, Toni Lavelle, who is believed to have been Quigley’s preferred candidate, came second in a selection process some weeks ago.The hiring process continued uninterrupted, however, as fellow director Rodger Sh...
