NZ business confidence dips in May but inflation expectations ease

New Zealand business confidence dipped in May but inflation expectations also eased.A net 11.2% of firms were optimistic about the general economic outlook, down from 14.9% in April, while a net 11.8% now see their activity improving versus 14.3% in April, according to ANZ Bank’s monthly business outlook. Inflation expectations continued to “inch lower”, coming in at 3.59% versus 3.76% in the April survey.
