Pricing and cost expectations may raise RBNZ eyebrows

ANZ Bank chief economist Sharon Zollner says pricing and cost expectations in the latest business outlook survey “are not consistent” with the Reserve Bank of New Zealand’s forecasts and may impact its appetite for rate cuts down the track.  According to the March ANZ Business Outlook survey, 74.1 of those surveyed expect costs to be higher, the highest in a year.
